Bookkeeping

Isle of ManBookkeeping

Cloud-based bookkeeping kept up to date month by month, so your numbers are something you can actually use rather than something you reconstruct in a panic each spring.

Why current beats complete

A set of books that is perfect but eleven months out of date tells you nothing you can act on. One that is current and roughly right lets you make decisions. Almost every business owner we meet has the first and needs the second.

We use cloud accounting software so your records update as the transactions happen, with bank feeds doing the heavy lifting. You can see your position whenever you want, and so can we, which means we can flag things while there is still time to do something about them.

It also makes year-end quieter. When the bookkeeping has been done properly all year, the accounts are largely a formality rather than a reconstruction project.

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose records currently live in a carrier bag, a spreadsheet, or somebody's memory.
  • Owners spending evenings on admin that could be handled properly for less than their own time is worth.
  • Anyone who wants to stop finding out about problems eleven months after they happened.

What's included

Every engagement is scoped to what you actually need, so this is the shape of the work rather than a fixed package.

Transactions kept current

Purchases, sales and bank activity recorded and categorised on a regular cycle rather than in one annual scramble.

Bank reconciliation

Your books agreed to your bank, so the balance you see is the balance you have.

Supplier and customer ledgers

Who owes you, who you owe, and how long each has been outstanding.

Management figures

Regular numbers you can read, with the context to make sense of them.

Common questions

We are cloud-first and QuickBooks Pro certified. If you are already on a different platform, tell us which one and we will let you know honestly whether it is worth moving or whether we should just work with what you have.
It depends on volume. Some clients suit a monthly cycle, higher-volume businesses need more frequent attention, and a few are better served weekly. We will recommend a rhythm based on what you actually do, not on a package tier.
Then bringing you current is the first job, and it is a normal one. We will scope it honestly, tell you what it involves, and get you onto a regular footing from there.
Yes. Digital copies are fine and usually easier. If a cost is genuinely business-related it will normally reduce your taxable profit, but only if it is recorded properly and you can back it up.
